Ikigai

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "reason for being."
When one is in alignment with their Ikigai—things flow.
Over the past 15+ years, my work has taught me about the beauty of
surrendering to my continued unfolding.

Today at Apple

Just under four years ago, Apple created an incredible initiative called Today at Apple, bringing each of their retail spaces to life with education and creativity in a town square format. As Head of Programming for NYC, I curate and produce virtual and IRL programming for youth and adults, with love.

The Unfolding

Created by the Gratitude Guru, Ashley Mui, The Unfolding, is a multi-sensory experience that centers gratitude, community, tea, and spirit. I served as Lead Producer for multiple iterations of the live experience from Brooklyn to the Bay. Each experience was expertly curated and lovingly produced.

Brooklyn Museum

I had the honor of working with the Education and Curatorial teams at the Brooklyn Museum to curate and produce public programs with and for Brooklyn, with love. Highlights include beloved Target First Saturdays to intimate gallery discussions. One million community members served during my nine-year tenure.

Dream it.

In the Brooklyn Museum's majestic rotunda, I collaborated with exhibition curator Sharon Matt Atkins alongside the street and fine artist, Swoon to create an immersive performance space in her exhibition, Submerged Motherlands.

Build it.

Art Off the Wall created site-specific performances inspired by the Brooklyn Museum’s collection in the beautiful Beaux-Arts Court. For this iteration, and inspired by the exhibition Deluxe Fluxx, I worked with the exhibition curator, Sharon Matt Atkins, to co-curate a series of programs with street art duo FAILE featuring a DJ set by Swizz Beatz.

Grow it.

The Triple Consciousness series took over an empty gallery for three days and explored black female identity themes in mainstream culture. We produced the Brooklyn Museum series in partnership with 651 Arts, MAPP Productions, and curator Ebony Noelle Golden.
