“I am light among lights — vibrating at the frequency of the greatest good.”
- Making the Sacred Simple mantra, FASTGIRLS, 2020

I am Light | Divinely Aligned and Activated. My purpose is to illuminate and uplift the divine gifts within myself and others, empowering us to share our collective gifts with the world. At my core, I seek the spirit of beauty in all things. My life is nourished by expressions of creativity, art, and community. I express myself and my story through various disciplines, including movement, cultural programming, writing, film, photography, and music.

You can experience my work and offerings through community gatherings, transformative experiences in nature, education sessions at the intersection of art and technology, and in my kitchen for brunch. I strive to listen actively and create connections to build networks among like-minded individuals who can accomplish great things.

Over the past two decades, I have leveraged multiple platforms to foster community around the arts, humanities, education, and technology. I collaborate with companies and cultural institutions to develop free and low-cost accessible programming that reflects the rich cultural communities we thrive in. My passion lies in programming with and for marginalized communities, particularly for Black women.

My work, research, lectures, keynotes, and scholarship have been showcased at esteemed institutions such as Apple, Brooklyn Museum, Columbia University, Harvard University, New York Media Center, New York University, and Pratt Institute. I have also served on advisory boards for Afrotectopia, New Museum, and Lady Boss.

My areas of interest include ideation, brainstorming, research, program development, events production, curation, curriculum development, motivational consultations, panel moderation, and graduation keynotes for students. Additionally, I am available to lead experiences that help individuals discover and embrace the beauty in their daily lives and the practices they hold sacred.

On any given day, you can find me bopping around Brooklyn or NYC with my daughter, Soleila, my son, Indigo, and my husband, Herman. We often stroll around, spreading Black Love and Black Joy wherever we go. If you encounter me in Brooklyn or anywhere else in the world, please feel free to say hello—I am open to life and living!
